InReach is a Lifeline program offered by T-Mobile that provides discounted wireless service to qualifying customers. Eligibility rules vary by state, however, customers may qualify for InReach if they are currently receiving, or eligible to receive, benefits from select federal or state assistance programs like Medicaid, Food Stamps or Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8) and others. Customers who are not eligible to participate in select assistance programs may qualify based on household income.

How it works:

  1. Use our easy online tool to answer a short series of questions to determine if you may qualify for InReach (this application process should only take a few minutes).
    • If you meet the eligibility requirements for InReach, simply print your completed application, include your required documents, and fax or mail it to T-Mobile for final eligibility approval. We are happy to fax your application for free at any T-Mobile retail store.

  2. Once approved, you can activate service at any T-Mobile store, online or by calling 1-800-TMOBILE
  3. Your state-specific discount will be applied to your monthly account within 45 days.

You can choose from a variety of our Monthly4G plans with Talk & Text or Talk, Text & Web depending on your individual needs, all with no annual contract. You can also learn more about the variety of plans and options that are right for you.

How much can I save?

Although it varies from state to state, you can save $10/month on your wireless plan, which may take up to 45 days to be applied.

Are there any restrictions?

Yes. Certain restrictions do apply. Eligibility depends on the area where you live, your income or your eligibility to participate in any qualifying public assistance programs, and your particular situation. InReach is not available to consumers who are already receiving Lifeline assistance through another carrier unless that consumer notifies their existing Lifeline carrier that they are terminating their service. No consumer may receive Lifeline benefits on more than one line of service, wireless or otherwise. Consumers who receive Lifeline benefits through InReach agree to certain terms and conditions and other restrictions may apply.
